Sleater-Kinney

Dig Me Out

1997

Consider this a starting point if you’ve never heard S-K before. It’s difficult to describe what makes your favorite band your favorite band, often times, the reasoning is more personal then anything actually dealing with the band. This isn’t the case with S-K, while I do have my personal attachments to the band, they were one of the first ‘punk’ bands I really was able to get into – they were a crutch whenever I felt down all the way through Junior high.. but when you  strip those reasons away from me – this still stands: Sleater-Kinney rock and rolled with far more passion and talent then most of the bands that they were competing with. Not only that, but they weren’t a stupid band, they wrote smart songs, rarely over-played on  their elements and stayed consistent throughout there career.. I wanted to upload more here, share more albums from the band.. but as supportive as I am of filesharing – I’ll simply encourage you to buy the albums.. ineffective? Sure, but I don’t care, even if you don’t buy the albums, I’ll still be glad you got into the band.
