Chapterhouse

Whirlpool

1991 (2006 reissue)

Today I was wondering what I could put up that would be special, an album I don’t mention often and don’t own in a digital format. Whirlpool was the winner. A wildly underrated and underheard piece of the Shoegaze puzzle, Chapterhouses Whirlpool feels a lot like an album that could’ve been. The vocals are buried by layers of distortion and noise, but criticizing an  album of the shoegaze persuasion for it’s hazy, unclear vocals is like the pot calling the kettle black. The album is a patchwork of many different sessions, but it goes together fairly well.  Now I offer you something that has brought me joy in the form of A CD in the form of a Rar. Enjoy.
